STRAWBERRY BASIL MARGARITAS

What’s a girl to do when she goes strawberry picking and comes home with the sweetest and ripest strawberries?? Make strawberry basil margaritas of course because there isn’t a margarita I don’t love. Do yourself a favor and make yourself these delicious margaritas ASAP. Wether you are making these for a crowd or just one for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

STRAWBERRY BASIL MARGARITAS

Ingredients

• 6 strawberries, squared
• 5 basil leaves
• 1 lime, juiced
• 6 oz Espolon Tequila
• 1 oz Cointreau  
• 1 1/2 oz simple syrup

Instructions

1. Cut the strawberries in half and transfer in a food processor along with basil and lime juice.  Blend for 1 minute until smooth.  Pour salt into a small plate and rub a wedge of lime on the rim of the glass then dip into salt.
2. In a shaker with ice, pour tequila, strawberry basil mixture, simple syrup and orange liquor and shake for 10-20 seconds and pour in your glass. Enjoy!
