HAZELNUT HOT CHOCOLATE
Three ingredient hazelnut hot chocolate that is simply to die for! Lactose intolerant? No worries, I used oat milk which doesn’t compromise on taste and the addition of hazelnut spread is seriously my best drink concoction yet. So cozy and delicious til the last sip!
I recommend using Oatly oat milk, hazelnut spread (preferably Nutella) and Hershey’s 100% Cacao.
IMPORTANT TIPS:
Do not bring the hot chocolate to a boil - allow it to simmer on medium-low heat then take it off the heat.
Use a silicon whisk when stirring so you don’t scratch the sauce pan. I have a great recommendation of a silicon whisk below.
Making homemade whipped cream is much simpler than you think. Only requires 3 ingredients:
Heavy whipping cream (important for the whipping cream to be cold)
Powdered sugar
Vanilla extract
Only requires to be whipped for 60-90 seconds in a stand mixer. IMPORTANT TIP: Leave the KitchenAid bowl in the fridge for 15 minutes before using it to make whipped cream.
Pour the rich hazelnut hot chocolate into a christmasy mug, top it with whipped cream and enjoy!
